Our Archives, Genealogical Research Library and

House Museum

Venango County Historical Society houses an Archival Resource Center and a Genealogical Research Library, as well as a House Museum.  Our collections include an extensive Photograph Collection consisting of historical photos from all areas of Venango County, collections of vintage clothing and artifacts of every kind that were worn, owned or used by Venango County residents throughout its history, in addition to our archival and library collections.  Items from our collections are displayed in our House Museum on a rotating basis.

 

 

Archival Resource Center

The Venango County Historical Society Archival Resource Center is a climate-controlled facility that houses documents and photographs that relate to Venango County history.  

Archival materials are available for research by the public by appointment only.

Genealogical Research Library

Our Genealogical Research Library houses birth, marriage and death records; county histories; city directories;

church and cemetery records; family histories and genealogies and much more.

House Museum

Artifacts from our collections are displayed in our House Museum on a rotating basis.  Tours are given to visitors during our open hours, and to large groups by appointment.
